You are right but their bench players are more highly rated than what we have and will beat us anyway.

Agreed. I expected a rough season next year, losing 22 seniors. Not this year.

If it takes 4 years to recruit an FBS quality team, we're at least 4 years away. I don't see much FBS talent on our current roster.

I also say it is time to get a new strength and conditioning staff as well because they have failed this team. We look slower and weaker after supposedly a year of tough conditioning and HUNGER for an improved season. We were sold a bag of crap.

I must be a sucker for punishment as I really want to hear the press conference. At least he can't use the no interceptions spin in this one. We got manhandled by a 6 year old team with a QB who has less experience than ours.

OMG the mfer doesn't even know how many times we went for 2 on the post game when asked by Ted! He seriously has go to go! Live up to the motto #AIMHIGH and give him the boot!

Then he says Stevie played well, good god I would hate to see what he called bad.

I saw it ..... uninspired, pathetic, pedestrian, wafflekneed, and other things not suitable for even this board. After we were told how improved this team would be ... I almost believed the hype during the offseason and leading up to the first game -- all worthless dribble. I'd say get back to basics, but I'm not sure that they were ever there. What has nearly every other FBS team managed to do that continually eludes us?

Those who listened...can we have a synopsis of the post game? How did wilder spin it?

It's really an amazing site that we are beholding.

We can't kick.
We can't return.

I mean, I have never seen a football team that was so inept in literally every phase of the game. Even most bad tesms do something well. 3 games into the season and I still find it shocking.

Its ironic watching this team the first three games. I feel like I a man watching the type of football I expected us to play the first few years of our existence. I expected us to make a lot of mistakes, maybe not get off the field on defense, an offensive line that was overmatched, terrible special teams, a QB that was inconsistent and maybe couldn't make the big play. The irony is we had very little of all the above our first few years. Granted we were playing a much weaker schedule but we came into our first years with great QB play, a great FG kicker, great punter, we had some guys that stepped up and made big plays.

So I guess I got spoiled. I fully expected us by now to have good QB play, a defense that could get off the field against the likes of UNCC, and a sold offensive line. I do think we have some playmakers in Duhart, Harper, and Fulchum and a bright future at RB with Davis but we need to get the more the ball. Seeing Davis run makes me wonder why BW didn't give him a chance in his hometown of Lynchburg. I expect he was pumped for playing them. Oh well, that's history now. Watching this team has the feel I was expecting that first year that never happened.

I’ve really got to admire Wilders optimism as a person but it’s pretty infuriating as a fan.

yeah he can sugar coat crap and sell it as carnival candy and even his most blind fans are starting to see it. If some one is afraid we were losing enthusiasm and movement behind FB then we are really bleeding right now. If we don't put a band aid soon we will apathy will seep in like sand at the beach and it will take a while to get rid of it. I hope our head nincumpoop wood selig takes some action.

I really don't even want to go to the VT game any more. It feels more like an obligation and a commitment than something I want to do. Ive probably only missed half a dozen games over the last decade, but this is awful. Im looking forward to the tailgate though.
