It will cost you unless you do the free trial. But, someday, it will cost you maybe $5-$10.

Do you need to pay for plus even if you have most of the Espn channels on cable? I ask because I was streaming some games last week @ the Utes game and just went through my watch Espn per usual.

Yes, that was on ESPNNews, this is a separate entity and need to subscribe to ESPN+. There is a 30 day free trial I believe, and its only 4.95 a month.

So you can't get it any more with a comcast digital tier package?

No it is an add-on, but the free trial is nice because you can simply cancel before the 30 days.

So reading more, there is still ESPN3 AND ESPN+. They show games on each on ESPN weekend schedule.
In English, anyone?

F that. Once again the MAC gets screwed through ESPN. So now we have to pay separately for the access to a stream that only a diehard fan or degenerate gambler would use?
Don't know whether to laugh or be mad. Either way, just another way for ESPN to screw the already small MAC base.
Just another hindrance to staying an NIU fan.

Just another way for ESPN to make money off online-only games. Does the MAC contract stipulate that games not televised on the normal ESPN channels have to be televised on ESPN3 only? Since ESPN+ is a new thing I doubt the channel is even in the contract.

Surprised with the weather cancellations that we can't get on an ESPN cable channel.

Lol, I doubt two winless teams are on their radar for TV telecast.

RE: NIU Chips Game TV? ESPN+
ESPN+ is ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer video platform, available at a cost of $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year. It is accessible via the ESPN App on both iOS and Android devices, desktop, and TV-connected devices such as Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, and Chromecast. ESPN+ is available for a seven-day free trial and can be used on up to five streaming devices simultaneously. Matches on ESPN3 are available through the ESPN App and WatchESPN.com with pay television credentials.

NIU Chips Game TV? ESPN+
I am so glad for ESPN3 and ESPN+ so that we at least have some coverage when there is no TV. It is especially appreciated for all the men's and women's BB games on those platforms. Since I can only make the weekend games, it is great to be able to watch the games I can't get to. I have the annual subscription for ESPN+.

RE: NIU Chips Game TV? ESPN+
After reading some I have to believe somehow they make all ESPN+ part of ESPN3. Seems they like in a test mode. Seems the claim is preemtive local coverage, advertising bs.
I just think they won't until enough people aren't seeing their school on ESPN3 after forking out extra dough for extra sports stations and bitching w/o paying the extra money. The archives is one thing, the live programming is another. But then again I am sure the doesn't affect any P5 so they don't give a rat's a$$, at least for now.

I agree, 50 bucks a yr is annoying but it's worth it since you get tons of games including ALL NIU /MAC stuff including bball. Plus I watched the Pacquiao fight on it. Bottom line... ESPN is a company that is terribly run and they need the $ bad.

Do ESPN3 and ESPN+ have replays of football games available to watch like ESPN3 used to have?
