OK. Let's bring the full force of the US government down on a private business. Sounds good. We should all look forward to the results of this crackdown.

Trust the Government to protect you, Citizen.

When they're brazenly violating the law and manipulating public discourse to their political benefit, absolutely.

Absolutely. Sensible regulation of business is incumbent on the government to ensure that the public isn't harmed. Onerous over-regulation is a different story.

You would get banned from the site. What Alex Jones and them have violated the ToS for years. The companies have finally caught up to them. Since Twitter did not banned or blocked people from Trump's account. It was Trump himself who actually violated the 1st Amendment rights of the people. He is the leader of this country, and as part of the government, Trump can not block or banned people, or disrupt or destroy news media like he is doing now.

In that case you better define hate speech because that term is loose as hell. You also sure as hell be firm and decisive on EVERYONE. Pretty sure there are some libs on social media who have some pretty hateful speech...still active today. What’s the limit on times that they can post “hateful” stuff?

Side note...Jones is banned but Westboro Church still has an active account....true story.

Just admit these companies are being politically bias

Kronke, again, it's out of control....

you're right about the existing laws....

and what's sad is how long it's taking for the process to move legally....

there's no excuse for the latter at this point....

Sessions is a caricature of what that office should resemble.....

The problem I have with Facebook is that they have been allowed to acquire some companies that allow them to dominate a number of spaces, including Instagram and WhatsApp:

Instagram probably had the best chance of replacing Facebook, but now Facebook owns it.
