These lists are reminder that no matter how dysfunctional anyone thinks the Big 12 is, as long as they have Texas and Oklahoma, they are as firmly in the Big Boy club as any conference.

Agree with that 100%. The question is how long they have Texas and Oklahoma. If both were to get poached by other conferences, it's a very different story.

If that gap between A&M and Texas widens... Texas and Oklahoma are eventually going to agree on adding markets, or they bail.

Isn’t a large chunk of their “revenue”, donations for the stadium expansion?

Yes, and the counting of one-time money is a source of confusion. E.g., FSU's revenue is about $15 million more than it normally is because of donations towards a new practice facility.

IMO, it is deceptive to include one-shot donations, or else at least those should be identified as such.

Kind of like the difference between an employee getting a bonus compared to their regular wage.

RE: Forbes Most Valuable College Football Teams
"The one outlier in the conference talk is, of course, the football independent Notre Dame, which ranks seventh with team revenues of $112 million. Although the Irish don't get conference money for football, the team still receives a reported $15 million per year from NBC for broadcast rights to its home games. What's more, Notre Dame's athletic department doesn't even report the vast majority of contributions tied to the football team's ticket lottery, since most of those are made directly to the university."

1) The NBC $$ is reported by ND sources to be $22 million, not $15 million.

2) I wonder how many millions in donations/contributions per year, tied to the football ticket lottery, are not even reported by ND as athletic income?

The SEC???? I realize Tech is a lowly school with poor academics compared to UH, TCU and Baylor but 2 different publications view Texas Tech more valuable than UH, TCU, Baylor and Kansas.
