It's a bit depressing here. The Wilmington landscape has changed forever with damage to many historic buildings and the loss of soo many mature trees. We were in/out last week so i didn't get a chance to see much. Here now and it's so depressing :(

My family has a house at Oak Island. There was wind damage to some houses, but very little water damage. Floyd and Matthew inflicted much more damage to the beach and dunes.
The roads going to Wilmington and the beaches from the Piedmont sustained significant damage. They seem to be open now. I took the most direct route from Charlotte to OKI last night and the roads were open.
