For us, that’s gotta be tickets sold . . . no way we had that many butts in seats.

POI we received our first mass text alerts about 3 hours before kickoff telling us to get our properties ready for Florence and to start preparing for the storm. I think that definetly kept some people away.

This is for home games, although ours was pretty close to one.

I’d count it, but it would bring down our average. In fact, Charlotte’s record attendance may be lower than our lowest attended home game this year.

Now that we have defeated UMass in what some would call a blowout win our fair weather fans will begin to return. My guess is that GS will have 20K or more for the stAte game.

Pfftt, who cares about your attendance! You guys took care of business against UAB.

Although I do hope Florence misses you guys...

Don't look now, but Georgia Southern is 2-0!

RE: Attendance - Week 2
I just think it’s absolutely shameful that we can only draw 15k fans when the puppies and the bees are both playing out of state way earlier in the day. That being said, I think we proved to our casual fans last night that this is a team worth watching. Arkansas State is military night and parents weekend so I’m expecting to have an attendance boost from that. Wish our guys didn’t have to beg for support though. It’s ridiculous.

Wasn't that long ago you guys were averaging 22,000 per game. Winning will cure your ills.

During Troy's down years between 2012-2015, we were averaging between 17,000 and 19,000. It was a good day if we had over 20,000... then Neal Brown comes in, we start winning again, and now we average about 25,000.

FUN FACT: Troy's had 13-straight home games with attendance over 20,000.

That’s awesome. Your games always have a good crowd when I put them on.

Tyson Summers effect, plus ThUGA doing well, a perfect storm. It'll take a few years. We're back to 2010, with a better facility.

Embarrassing on our part. Team deserves better. I'm getting a group together for the Ark St game. Would be surprised if it wasn't 20k+.

RE: Attendance - Week 2
This will be our worst year for attendance with us sucking and not having a marquee home game to sellout and boost the average... I think we'll have to have at least 2 years of sustained winning and competitiveness before we start averaging above 20k. We had two non losing seasons in 13 and 14 and then our first 2 games in 15 averaged like 26k so it's been done before. Unfortunately that was the year we **** the bed and our downfall began and we couldn't keep it up.

RE: Attendance - Week 2
That’s the worst opening game attendance I’ve seen for us in a VERY long time. These are the contributing factors:

1. Coming off a 3-9 season
2. Clemson playing a big game simultaneously
3. SCar playing a big game simultaneously
4. Hurricane Florence preparations

RE: Attendance - Week 2
I think this might be the first home opener under 20k. Even PVA&M was 24k or so.

Maybe the school will get the hint that they need to make some changes or they will have no one show up anymore. Haha who am I kidding, the whole program is bankrolled by student fees so there is literally zero pressure to make a change.

All the people not attending probably think it was shameful the last two years to drive 3-4 hours from ATL to drop $300-500 on top of their donations to watch the most horrid football imaginable.

I dont blame people for being buying in after beating one horrible FCS team. For non fanatics it is an entertainment product. SCSU is not entertaining neither is mediocre UMASS team that just got hammered by a average P5.
