I think you meant to word that AAC then MWC, and not the other way around. Boise and Wyoming are decent. Everyone else is pretty mediocre there. Whereas, the AAC has Houston, Cincy, UCF, USF, and Memphis, as pretty good teams. Not to mention others aren't too bad, such as Tulsa. The AAC had a couple of FCS losses last week, but that didn't phase them from still having fairly impressive OOC wins this week. Mountain West will never be equal to AAC, because of its dependence on one program, to gain national eyes.

Haven’t been here since Day One but Marshall’s Board of Governors voted to join C-USA back on October 24, 2003. We paid $1m to C-USA and $400k to MAC for the privilege of switching leagues. The change took effect on July 1, 2005.

In all the years since then, I’ve never felt more discouraged about C-USA’s future or competitive status, than right now.

CUSA is really really bad this year except for the top 4 teams. And my team is likely the worst at this point. That being said, I don't really see any difference between us and the SB any more, so it would make sense just to go ahead and restructure both conferences geographically and hopefully it improves both conferences. The belt has improved a little, and CUSA has regressed to the point where I think the advantages would outweigh the disadvantages CUSA may have to give up a bowl bid to make it happen, but making regional rivalries and some bus games would be great.

This C-USA/SBC merger talk is ridiculous.An overreaction to a bad season by several teams.

I’ve been a CUSA fan, and still am, but I am also highly discouraged with our OOC results. (I suspect we will also disappoint this week, but I am hopeful my Herd can pull an upset.)

I do have to say, that comparatively, I don’t see any real downside to a more regionalized conference any longer, but am not quite ready to suggest we dissolve CUSA...just yet. I’d much rather we become more competitive to be respected. But I, losing hope that will occur.

I DO suggest we hide our heads on any comparative analysis with ANY other conference. We don’t have anything to talk about in that conversation.

I'm glad for Marshall that they didn't hire our OC, otherwise they'd probably be 0-2 right now.

The ACC is a tweener too then, given that the AAC is (I believe) 19-19 against them in the past 5 years. If you removed clunker Tulane's 0-6 performance, mostly to Wake, it'd be a decisive winning record.

And the ACC is being spared another loss to the AAC since our game vs UNC next weekend is almost surely being cancelled.

AAC was like 2-12 versus other G-5 in bowl games (Brett McMurphy tweeted this out), Tech beat their #2 in bowl 2016 then crushed another AAC by 50 last year

The Sunbelt wasnt rated higher last year, the AAC is not a tweener conference - terrible bowl record vs other G5.

Some of these Marshall fans really need to start a petition stating they want out of CUSA and send it to their AD and BOT. Crying on a message board isn't going to get it done.
