I'm sure Abraham has that game circled on his calendar. Assuming our O-line doesn't get him killed before then.
That may have been a poison pill for USM. As much as we can't seem to beat USM, our inability to lose to ULM is even stronger. By losing to ULM you may have taken on the transitive property. We will have to see how that plays out.

No you weren't. Quit trying to make a comparison that's not even close.
A decade ago, the Sun Belt really was the worst conference. The SBC had only 8 teams, one bowl tie-in, only one team with a winning record during the regular season, and a TV deal that was crap.
To say you were exactly where Georgia Southern is a decade ago is an ignorant comparison, and I think you actually know that.

Ugh...
Love the use of the term "ignorant" when you yourself completely missed the point.
A decade ago I was here, as a SBC member, posting on the CUSA board about how the SBC had pulled even with CUSA at worst and we were about to put them in our rearview mirror.
Hell seven or eight years ago I was here, as a SBC member, posting on the CUSA board about how the days that CUSA would be able to pilfer the Belt were over and that if CUSA got raided by the Big East that we would show the resolve to stick together and perhaps even pick off USM and UAB.
Nothing has truly changed, neither conference has been much better since after the first round of CUSA departures, but the hierarchy is intact.
FWIW you and 05 are two of the Troy guys I enjoyed sharing a board with

I can't even.
So have we really fallen to the point where we're measuring shlongs with the Sun Belt?
I'm pretty confident, at this point, it doesn't matter what conference you're in. MAC, CUSA, Sun Belt...all the same.
Mountain West and AAC is a step up. That's it.

I don't entirely disagree, which is why I support geographic realignment.
But I also believe the typical flow of realignment would still exist should it start up again.

Not that a) this is likely to stay this way and b) there aren't mitigating circumstances with this game (starting with the location), BUUUUUUUUUT: Campbell's beating Coastal Carolina 21-17 early in the second quarter (it was 21-10 when I started typing).

We won 58-21. Ask a UAB fan how much it means to take a lead on us early.

In fairness. Campbell is a tomato can. Though I guess in this case, a tomato soup can.
