RE: Game Thread: Coastal Carolina
I actually think the team kinda needed this loss. They (and others) had gotten over-confident and needed to be taken down a notch. UAB is a game that many have circled (CCU and LaTech, for example) and will give their best effort against. Perhaps they were thinking ahead to Tulane, but the level of confidence worried me. You have to show up and be ready to play EVERY game.

Don’t have that problem with basketball.....yet.
I did see that. You were told by the coach’s son to stop posting or be positive. After that kind of beat down.
I didn’t know whether to respond or not. Tried to do so respectfully. I haven’t attacked anybody individually and try not to do so. Social media probably isn’t the right place for em just like it’s probably not a good idea to sit with fans at games if you’re a coach’s/refs spouse or players parent. Twitter is the best place to discuss the ball game at home with other blazer fans. Many times it’s one liners and no discussion. some things are gonna be blunt.
How is that possible without a bunch of rules and mods?
Speaking of which, I deactivated my twitter account. On there far too much and it just feels toxic. I’m tired of seeing the left leaning political bull on there too anyways. We’ll see what happens in a few weeks or months but for now I need to step away.

Yeah, your Twitter stalkers have serious issues, and are probably fake accounts, if I had to bet.

That back and forth was no big deal to me. Immature on who’s part is for someone else to decide. Anyways, I just don’t feel happy. I find myself glued to my iPad all day every day. Having notifications on for the accounts I’m most interested in so I don’t miss a thing. Checking every 2-3 minutes. it’s not healthy. I don’t know if I’m in some form of depression, and I’ve felt this way for a while. I’m too invested in sports, social media, and so on. Too many soft emotional people, who need safe spaces from anybody wth a voice that disagrees with them. I need some time off.

Do what's best for you. It is easy to get too caught up in it. I don't like the political rhetoric either, but they are everywhere. Hope you get to feeling better about things!

I understand that. Going to miss you on Twitter as I think you're the best help on recruiting hands down. I saw where Coach's son got into it with you...which was stupid on his part but I believe you handled it the best way possible.

Personally i think the coach’s son was in wrong for that exchange. Coach Clark needs to real in his team on the field and on Twitter. You want fans? They come in all types... Everybody is not going to be a sunshine pumper all the time, especially after a game like that. Fans teeing off on coaches, players striking back... all i can say is Football is officially back!

Actually run the ball, and split carries better to keep Spencer B. fresher.
Give the reins to Johnston, got 9 great older WR's not really getting the ball like they should.
Keely back at DL, he's not a Jack. Otoh Garcia-Williams is
Brock Thomas,Diggs, and Harris should stay a bit more on the field
And Stanley is an underrated back

Coastal Carolina vs Campbell is on espn3 at the moment. Campbell was leading 21-10 the last time I checked.......
Yes it’s live. Game was moved up to avoid hurricane Florence

Thought -- Can Legion Field be marketed to coastal teams that may not be able to play at home for the next couple of weeks? Some games this week have been cancelled this Saturday that are not too far away from B'ham.

Coastal did come back to win 58-21. Apparently they do know how to win the second half. Scored 48 unanswered....about what they did to us.

Very interesting with Game 2 versus a fellow G5 team on the road looming. Will we wind up on the other side of a 40-3 run next week? Let’s hope last night goes a long way toward preventing that.
