The only reason I do not agree with this is because these recruits are constantly talking to one another via social media and hanging out together at tournaments. They know what each other thinking, what teams they are liking, when they are planning on committing and so on.

It definitely would not hurt to get a commitment and would undoubtedly make all of us fans feel better, however, I do not think Wiseman or Jeffries committing today would be that big of a deal for other recruits at this point.

Many top recruits also just want to enjoy the process...why not take maximum advantage of being courted like royalty before signing with a particular school?

What Penny offers with his staff is unique. It offsets a lot of the negative tactics which all coaches face by the way.

The never coached a college game is way overblown and listening to the nations top recruits and their parents talk about our coaches goes a long way towards showing that. We have four guys on staff that will not be outworked. Sam Mitchell is considered one of the best teachers of skills, discipline and technique available. Behind the scenes Penny is tapping whatever resource is need to fill any so called experience gap that might exist.

He won’t and can’t sign every kid he recruits but he will get his share in battles with the big4-6 programs. He won’t win a national championship this year but you will see a fast-paced, aggressive, exciting brand of basketball that will get wins and keep recruits interested.

Don’t be afraid to enjoy this opportunity. I would rather take a chance on being disappointed rather than miss the enjoyment of the ride.

Take a chance. Be a fan. That’s what top programs need and get.

I too was raised up in church, but did not really come to a saving grace and salvation until I was nearly 40 years old. I was a doubting Thomas for most of my life until I began to SERIOUSLY study the Bible and the evidence for myself. It changed my life forever.

Its important to remember that we are ALL sinners who need forgiveness through the blood of Christ. And becoming a Christian does not make you a sinless, perfect person. Christians also battle with temptation and sin.

Biblical salvation is not based on being part of a certain church or club, its based on genuine Faith in Christ. It takes place in the heart, not by joining a certain church or club. We attend church for fellowship, worship and edification. Attending church does not save us though according to the Word.

Get it straight. I did not bring up religion, other posters did as a personal attack on me. I did not personally attack ANYONE. I simply responded to their attacks, WITHOUT personally attacking them.

Having a rational conversation here at times can be impossible. An over abundance of Homer/fanatic/Kool-Aid drinkers, who just want to start something, seem to have taken over. Now even citing concerns or worries, ignites a hate fest. It's hard to find a thread here on the "corner" that doesn't turn into a pissing match.
