Show Me The Money! - Gambling
Given all the legal options outside of Vegas today, I'm assuming folks are more comfortable talking about gambling and such on a message board. I figured I'd give it a shot to see if there was any interest.

Ones I like this weekend:
App State -14 @ Charlotte (I have App at -14 and in a teaser at -7)
App State & Charlotte over 47.5 (in a teaser over 37.5)
UAB -10 @ Coastal (in a teaser at -3)
NM State +24 @ Utah State (in a teaser at +31)
Rutgers +34.5 (in a teaser at +44.5) - Praying Rutgers scores 1 TD
UNC -17 @ ECU (teased to -7)
NC State -24.5 vs. GSU (in a teaser at 14.5) - I wasn't too pumped on this one until I thought, if NC State only wins by 14, that means we beat GSU by 3 which means we only beat Kennesaw by 7. That clearly isn't true!

Yeah, I'm a big fan of teasers.

I started off the season hitting the middle (9-14) on the State game. Too good to pass up.

I got NC State -24 and that seems like a lock to me. I think NC State is incredibly underrated and I've gotta think they are going to be out for blood this weekend vs Georgia State.

Pay attention to Rutgers during the 4th quarter. Might be your only shot of seeing them cover.

3-pack of O/U plays (as always, check the weather)...

(Fri) TCU-SMU over 59 (SMU plays no D whatsoever, TCU should score at will, SMU score some late vs TCU subs when game is settled)
Memphis-Navy over 68 (Mids gave up 59 at Hawaii last week while scoring 41...I can see another similar shootout in Annapolis)
Georgia-South Carolina under 56.5 (first SEC game for each team, lots of head popping D, usually a low scoring game)

GLA!

I'm hoping the 4 straight days of rain keep OSU/Rutgers score low, leading to Rutgers covering +45 (despite losing by average of 45 the last 4 years). I have a hard time pulling the trigger on overs in the above 60 but I like the Memphis-Navy game.

Took a while for the game to start, not so long for the first TD.

Leading up to the N.C. State game I noticed they play a sports book game on their boards.

I know it’s easy to say after the fact, but I haven’t been on these boards for almost a year because I’ve been busy punting ‘cotti. But for the rest of the year, go against NM State, regardless of the spread. I’m a Gophers fan, so I have watched them closely all three games this year. They may be one of the worst teams in FBS.

I second the view on New Mexico State. Watched them in their 1st two games. Anemic offense.

RE: Show Me The Money! - Gambling
Hoping for a much needed rebound after some disastrous outcomes last week. I didn't expect much out of Coastal and ECU but they decided they wanted to play football it appears.

Maryland down to -6 vs Temple
Virginia down to +1 @ Ohio
Bama down to -10.5 @ Ole Miss
LSU up to 19.5 @ Auburn
Ohio down to -2.5 @/vs TCU

For starters, the game is at Virginia. Likely will be played in pouring rain if they stick with the regularly scheduled game time (3pm) though that is of course subject to change. I see UVA as 6 pt favorites. Are you teasing it down 7 pts to +1???

It took me too long to realize that these are teaser lines 03-lmfao I was about to drive up to NJ. I like these picks.

Mistake on the @ instead of "vs.". I expect this game to move date or location, maybe both.

All my bets this weekend are teased by 7 or 10. I have Bama and OSU in multiple teasers.

I generally look for ~11-16 point favorites and tease down to a TD or FG (via 7 or 10 point teasers), such as my bet with Maryland and OSU. I like how this eliminates the impact of garbage time TDs.

I also look for teams getting 7/8/9 points and tease it up so they would have to lose by 2+ possession, such as the LSU bet. Some folks are picking LSU to win, I will gladly take LSU getting more than 2 TDs and a FG.

Obviously to get these advantages, I have to hit 2 or 3 games instead of 1. This f'ed me last week with as I had UAB, UNC and Rutgers in different teasers last week.

I think the UVA game was moved from Whoo-villa to Vanderbilt even though they aren’t playing... Vanderbilt.

Games I like this week and why...

Syracuse +3 over Florida State -- not sure what F$U has done to warrant laying any points on the road against a hungry team...feels like a home dog ambush on the way

Ga Tech-Pitt over 54.5 -- neither of these teams play much defense (keeping an eye on the weather of course)

LSU +9 over Auburn -- last time AU defeated the Bengals by more than a TD was 2002

GLA!

I like GT and Pitt too. Both teams opened with lower scoring FCS games when the outcome was known at halftime. Their FBS v. FBS games went for more points. I think it could be throwing off some of the metrics over in Vegas.

I'm also on TXST @ South Bama over 47.5.
BC @ Wake at 54 points is intriguing. BC scored 48 in first half against UMass and 38 against Holy Cross on way to scoring 55 and 62 final points. Weather is currently looking good there.

VT is a 27.5 point favorite against ODU.
W&M may be better than ODU at this point and they lost 62-17. They beat #19 FSU by 21 at their place and they think ODU is only going to allow an extra TD?
Lock this one in ASAP.
