I watched part of that Illinois game.
They're God awful.
I feel sorry for Lovie. It's going to take at least 2-3 more years to dig that team out of misery. Problem is I don't know if Illini Nation will wait that long.

The problem for Oregon State (maybe also for Illinois) vs. an FCS team is that their players have no confidence after so many games being outmatched. Their roster almost certainly has more talent than their FCS opponent, but the FCS team has experience winning some games, even though they are FCS games, and has more confidence from that.
Also, FWIW: How many people are betting on FCS games? Seems like you'd be betting in the dark, unless you're someone who seeks out every piece of available information about FCS teams.
