Usually, I'm the only one standing up, but everyone in my section stood up. I also didn't have the annoying question every play call dude that doesn't know the rules. He didn't say a word the entire game.

I was harrassed a few years ago for standing up. This old dude behind me got upset that I stood up so he moved in front of me and stood up in front of me (thinking it would bother me....?) His wife even said just to ignore him.

Crowd - First Down
...Roar !!

That's how it's supposed to be. Only thing to add is that the band does the little first down riff right before the roar. It's already been orchestrated, the issue is though is that Jack can barely get through the first part because he keeps trying to say what exact player got what exact yardage so by the time he can even get to "That's a Monarch ____" the next play has begun. Either that, or he fails to mention it whatsoever.

Not everyone has to stand up but lets make a little more noise!

That's all.

I feel like if the fans are being prompted by the team on the sideline to stand, then we should stand. Ximines mentioned in an interview that the team loved how into the game the crowd was.

I had some crazy lady yank on my shirt and tell me to sit down Saturday. She was told she would need to stand because I knew it would be like Catholic Mass at that game. My voice still hasn't recovered.

Nice. I had similar experience and i went on a tirade against old people and then realized not all old people do that and issued my apologies to the old timers and moved on. I wish there was a way to place all these sitting only, shut mouth fans together in the stadium so that they don't ruin what is supposedly a FB game for others. The players need to be fed energy i.e jumping and noise when they are making plays during the game and if some of the fans are not letting it happen then well we need to find a way to do that. Kids love that see OX and Duhart comments postgame.

This. Perhaps the new stadium could have a designated "quiet, old and sitting" section. Charge them double.

It's called the Langley Credit Union Premium Sideline Seating or something

I may have told off a VT fan who refused to sit down who had an elderly gentleman behind him... perhaps I was wrong.

It used to be so much cleaner, the band played the fight song a lot after first downs at the VT game, which I think is way too much. As the years have gone on it has gotten a little clanky. I think he should decide to let the crowd say "first down" or say it himself every time, followed by the roar and the band riff. A few times he paused then said first down as well, sometimes there was a roar and sometimes there wasn't... It just needs to be cleaned up and consistent.

Also, another thing I'd like to add is while a good amount of people say the words at the end of the fight song, could you imagine if the entire stadium did it? I would love to hear that one day.
