Just wanted to give a heads up about a fundraising effort for my oldest son's soccer trip to Arizona in February.

We will be holding two drawings for $50 gift certificates to Hair of the Dog (all locations) and Calypso (11th street boardwalk) during the tailgate on Saturday. Drawing tickets are good for both drawings and are $5 each. We will hold the drawing an hour before kickoff, and give the gift cards to the winners immediately thereafter. A maximum of 50 tickets will be sold, to keep the chances of winning reasonable.

My son will be walking around to sell tickets, but if anyone wants to lock in prior to the tailgate, please PM me and we can work out the arrangements.

The gift cards were generously donated by the owners of these great restaurants, and we are overwhelmed with their generosity.

Drawing will be at 6:30. Space 243. Cards to be awarded immediately. You do not have to be at drawing to win - we will just walk over the to your tailgate spot if you win. $5 per ticket.

Have your son come around to 284 in the blue lot. I’ll make sure he sells enough over there.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the drawing during this wet tailgate, particularly Bluelotmayor and The Doctor is In. It was a successful fundraiser and we appreciated the kindness as my boys sold tickets.

I hope he gets the money to get to Arizona this winter. Both of your boys were very polite.
