Army is the one time that I don't mind losing to. I didn't like the facts that we couldn't stop them at all or that they kicked our butt, but either way, I'm always proud of our service members. Alright, bring on Norfolk State!

Well, not quite. You tied what we did in 2014. We beat them 56-14.

I didn't expect a win but I didn't expect looking completely unprepared. More evidence against Gill. We'll see if he turns it around. Past performance indicates a no. At least Norfolk State should be a win and offers a chance to get back on schedule.

I wouldn’t be so confident. We were 5-5 against FCS competition last year.

If we don't beat NSU then it really doesn't matter what we do the rest of the season. I am working on the assumption we win though that isn't a given.

Lol I think our punter needs some more time on the tackling dummy. He very well could have paralyzed himself the way he dove in to tackle.

If your Punter is tackling you have a problem.

Well yesterday we had a lot of problems.

The entire game was painful. It was like we were lost and had random moments when we remembered how to play FB....LOL

I'm not quite as down on LU as others are here. The wishbone is a very tough offense to corral. It will not win National Championships but it will beat teams like LU, and much better than LU, when properly executed. And Army did execute. Army's stinging loss vs. Duke the week before with fumbles and poor play caused me to think they would beat LU.

The defense played better than I thought they would. Very poor punting and special teams play put the defense in very tough positions. And of course the 2 spearing infractions made a bad game situation worse.

Coaching. I did not understand why LU did not come out throwing to open the game up to help establish the running game. The offense seemed intent to first establish the run then pass. Gandy was harassed the whole game and the Army DBs played him better than most. Combining that with a run-first attitude played in to the defensive scheme of Army. It was clear LU had better skill players but simply did not get them the ball to make plays. LU was the faster team. But Army was a tough nose, rough house, wishbone-run first offense that simply overpowered LU.

I'm still sticking with 4 wins for the season. I hope they get more but 4 seems realistic.
