Several players have made practice squads this season, but don't have them all yet.

I dont think UAB gets credit for two of those players because they got drafted from different schools. Indiana & USA

We'll claim Jordan Howard, as he claims us; from ESPN:
Quote:LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Sorry, Indiana. Jordan Howard's heart belongs to The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Howard is still fond of the Hoosiers, the university he transferred to in 2015. Chosen by the Chicago Bears in the fifth round, Howard sparked Indiana’s offense with 134.8 rushing yards per game (second in the Big Ten), 1,213 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns last season.

But the powerfully built tailback openly represents UAB, the school he attended from 2013-14 before the university pulled the plug on the football program.

Howard met the Chicago media on Friday decked out in UAB shorts and with a #FreeUAB green bracelet around his right wrist.

Greg Joseph, FAU kicker, was signed by the Cleveland Browns as a replacement for their kicker, Zane Gonzalez, who missed 5 kicks in two weeks and is suspected for a groin injury.

35% in week one and 37% in week two. He needs to figure out how to get to the QB.

I don’t know if I’d say the whole team isn’t playing good. Yeah they lost to the Bucs and barely beat the browns. The Eagles also lost to the Bucs and the Steelers tied the Browns. Brees is completing 81% of his passes and Michael Thomas set a NFL record for receptions through two games.

We need more pressure on the quarterback...which is why we spent 2 first round picks on Davenport. Give a QB all day to throw and he’ll find open receivers.

BY my math, La Tech gets the 2018 trophy for Most Pros on Active Rosters in the NFL, as follows:

1. La Tech 14
2. Southern Miss 10
3. FAU 8 (Tied with Rice)
Rice 8
5. WKU 7
6. UAB 6
7. MT 5
8. ODU 4
9. FIU 3 (Tied with UTSA)
UTSA 3
11. UNT 2
12. Charlotte 1 _
Total 71 *
* No Response from UTEP. Anybody know if UTEP has anybody in the NFL or how we compare with other Non-Cartel Conferences?

I don't know if this is still accurate, but I believe UTEP has six or so players on NFL rosters.

Up to 50% in week three. Should keep increasing. Okafor doesn’t look the same coming back from his Achilles injury. He did have a punt block but doesn’t look as good at DE as he did before his injury last year.

If ESPN is accurate, Marshall has 5.

So. UTEP has 4 and Marshall says they have 5 (I would have thought they had more?). My public school math skills calculate that to mean CUSA has 80 active NFL guys on the various 53 man rosters. Not too shabby. I'm way too lazy to research this but, where does that rank us among the non-cartel conferences?
