JJ made a potential life changing decision and it really didn’t go as planned. He forgot to stay humble. Now he’s being humbled. We could have used him yesterday.

Yes that did not work out like JJ hoped. He got beat out for the starting job and he was not on the depth chart. In fact I could not find him on the roster. However that must be a mistake since he did play some yesterday; he had 1 tackle.

That's more of an indictment on NIU and the MAC than it is on JJ, sadly...

Missed this thread but he had 1 tackle against Southern presumably in mop-up time. Vying for playing time at a perennial buzzsaw like TCU is much different than the MAC. Delusional adults often lead kids to no-win decisions (don’t know if that was the case here).

Sometimes these players think they’re better than they are and that the grass will be greener on the other side. They forget that these bigger names schools have plenty of talent wasting on the bench. It’s not that easy to go somewhere in a better rated conference and expect to start. Any real competitor will not let an outsider come and take his spot without a real fight. That’s what I mean by my humble comment. He read his press clippings and thought he was the best.
