I agree. And I understand why coaches like this "secret scrimmage" concept to see how their teams are progressing against real competition without the glaring critique of media and fans. That will come soon enough.

This quote is both a compliment to and an indictment of Mick Cronin's coaching...can't think of a better way to put it than that.

So I think it's great that Mick and Brey have this collegial relationship. How about leveraging that for a home and home series with Notre Dame, renewing an old Big East rivalry? With the UCLA series wrapping up this year and OSU likely ending in 2019, UC could use a high profile opponent in the next cycle.

probably not, same reason why we never play Seton Hall, Mick and Mike Bray are tight
