I hope we are within 40. Mostly I hope we come out without serious injuries. We’ve already lost one premier receiver for the season. Luckily we are loaded at that spot.

RE: Week 2 Sunbelt Projections
We absolutely need GS, ULM, and Coastal to go at least 1-2, preferably 2-1.
Ark State @ Alabama...Hansen knows NFL scouts will watch his performance and he'll move his stock up. Also, bold prediction, StAte will have the game closer at half time than Louisville did. Otherwise, just another tune up game for both teams.
Bama 52-13
App State @ UNCC...UNCC looks like they've moved up form rock bottom, but App should still win.
App 49-24
UMass @ Georgia Southern...a very mixed bag of signals from our offense, but the defense is stout and I don't think UMass is all that great, honestly. At home I'll take GS.
Eagles 24-21
FAMU @ Troy...lack of running production has to be a concern to you if you're a Troy fan, but Troy should still not have a problem.
Hoplites 41-16
South Alabama @ Oklahoma State...South loses, gains some confidence
Oklahoma State 45-24
Georgia State @ NC State...State loses, gains some confidence
NC State 31-14
Coastal @ UAB...this will be a good one to watch, but just don't think Coastal has the defense to win it.
UAB 42-34
ULM @ Southern Miss...ULM will light 'em up, but offense is too clumsy and defense isn't good enough for a win.
USM 44-38
Texas Southern @ Texas State
Texas State offense looked anemic in first game, but they still should win over a bad SWAC team
Bobcats 28-10

Ok with the GaSt and State loss prediction but ULM and Coastal will not win. USA will lose by less than 30. Tx State should win but they won't beat anyone by 18. If they don't take this one, suggest they just quit and fire the coach asap.

It won’t be an easy win but we have a shot to win at USM. You don’t know what’s going to happen.

RE: Week 2 Sunbelt Projections
We are 6.5 point dogs playing away. Sounds about right. I think we have a pretty good shot at winning. I don’t think we are as bad as most seem to on here. We’ll find out a lot more this week. This board over reacts bad. Troy is probably much better than the Boise game showed, people saying ULL is back and maybe they are, but come on, it was a SWAC team. Any of us should beat them like that or worse. We don’t know how good or bad SLU is, as they had a lot of quality P5 transfers. As I said, we’ll know more soon. Does ULL already have a bye this week?

Yes Louisiana has a bye week. Then we play Miss State. We are not back by any means, but we will finish no worse than 3rd in the West.

That’s a reasonable expectation.

So you say the board overreacts because ULM barely beat a FCS team because “we don’t know how good or bad SLU is” But then you also say about Grambling “any of us should beat them like that or worse.”

the highest anyone has put Louisiana, for one week only mind you is 4th. that is not back for our fan base. sorry that others no longer see ulm as the team of great potential. you still have a chance to achieve your goal of 6 wins and a bowl. defending your close win by using SLU having, "lots and quality" to describe the p5 transfers. pretty sure there was talk of lot of SEC quality p5 transfers on ulm' team .

GSU will probably lose but this is the weakest P5 team we ever faced and despite their struggles with JMU they're still looking past us to West Va in week 3. I believe we scare the **** out of them til the late 3rd qtr.

except they have a top 10 QB with all the tools NFL is looking for. His WRs are playmakers. Our zone defense may not give up quick scores (as long as we tackle well), but I can't envision a scenario of us giving up less than 300yds on the air.
