We’ll find out a lot more this week. This board over reacts bad. Troy is probably much better than the Boise game showed, people saying ULL is back and maybe they are, but come on, it was a SWAC team. Any of us should beat them like that or worse. We don’t know how good or bad SLU is, as they had a lot of quality P5 transfers. As I said, we’ll know more soon. Does ULL already have a bye this week?
Yes Louisiana has a bye week. Then we play Miss State. We are not back by any means, but we will finish no worse than 3rd in the West.

Based on beating Grambling ...

Well, stAte will likely win the West. Then it will either be South Al or the Cajuns. ULM will suck just like they normally do. Fail when projected to do well and surpass expectations when they are predicts to stink.

The Cajuns will continue to improve and right now we’re better than we were at any point last season. When we won 5 games and blew a few others.

Viator is a different animal. Don’t see that happening. However, we’ll tell a lot this Saturday. Who knows? Maybe you’re right, but I can’t make that determination from us winning a close game against SLU the first game of the year or you handily beating Grambling and neither can you.

SLU gave us fits last year and almost beat us. We should have beaten Grambling and we did by a good margin. Thumping our chests or throwing in the towel after week one is rather dumb. Lots of football left to be played.

Back to back JMU hires huh.

Seriously, if we don't beat TSU by 28 or so at least it's a bad sign. Lot of predictions on here have us winning in the 10-17 range. Not good enough if we've improved. TSU is a bad team.

How young is Texas State's roster? Apparently App has the second youngest team in FBS Football this season. All of the youth talk about Texas State doesn't really matter if they truly can't compete.

7 seniors. A handful of juniors. Only two full recruiting cycles. It is miserable.

Like I said, App has the second youngest, complete, roster in FBS this season. At some point it has to come down to coaching and ability, not to be blamed on youth.

Well yeah coaching has a ton to do with it but I think App is an exception to the rule. App is run from the top of the university to the bottom like an elite program that wants to win. That mentality has never existed since the 80s at TXST. Withers claims to be trying to change the culture. Under Fran the players were going to bars after games. The mindset here was rotten. At App it is "we are an elite program who wins".
