ECU has traditionally had a solid football program with awesome fan support and great home attendance. They need to make a solid coaching hire to get the program back on track. I think they will, but yes, right now they may have hit rock bottom - sometimes that's what forces change quicker, rather than sooner.
I like that... "quicker, rather than sooner."
Imma keep that one.

I don’t think Tulsa was looking ahead but they did have a lot of first game mistakes. I don’t think they are as bad as the score makes them look. Three turnovers, a few bonehead plays, and a backjudge who can’t tell the difference between good coverage and PI really had a big effect on the final score. That being said for there to be any shot at an upset next week the OL and QB need to make bid strides in the next seven days.

ECU is known for their football..you could add uconn men's basketball to that list after our first year. ECU will be back. We all know Tulane was added to boost academics lol

3 years ago Sears used to be a decent stock. Arisco purchased Sears stock 3 years ago.

Tulane is a good add, Tulsa is a zero-sum add, ECU is a bad add. What's your point?
MY point was, don't blame Aresco for ECU's failures. He had no clue that was gonna happen, and neither did you or anyone else.

I didn't realize that was the point you were trying to make.
Agreed, this isn't on Aresco. ECU is a bad add nonetheless, but it's on them, not the people who saw a sleeper that turned out to be a lemon.

I agree. I think Texas is a mentally weak team that has proven that they'll quit when punched in the nose. A team takes on the coaches mentality and character and Herman has proven that he's lacking in both of those . I'm starting to believe
That Houston's great seasons had more to do with their program and the talent that was already there and he just recognized a great situation and played it for all it was worth. If Tulsa can come out hard and focused for 4 quarters they'll win.

I can see Tulsa winning by a tiny margin or Texas blowing them out.

RE: Who stood out for you week 1
There was some question as to what UCF’s offense would look like under Heupel. If this past week was any indication... this offense is UCFAST.
None of UCF’s eight touchdown drives lasted longer than 2:39, with the UCFastest being a 53 second 76-yard drive...
2:07 - 61 yards
1:04 - 81 yards
0:53 - 76 yards
1:29 - 74 yards
2:27 - 65 yards
2:39 - 73 yards
2:07 - 90 yards
2:13 - 90 yards

He was great, but how good is Mercer? At least USF and Temple played top 20 FCS programs. Elon was ranked #12 and Villanova was also in FCS top 20.
