I was in the media room for the better part of the first half, had a chat with the Charlotte sports information director. He's all for regional realignment that would put Marshall, ODU, App, Charlotte, Coastal, Georgia Southern, and Georgia State in the same conference (among others of course).

I can see why. Having rivals 100 miles away is good for business.

His kids are going to Watauga and are playing football. With his ties to the area, I doubt he leaves until his kids graduate from High School.

The Sun Belt is in a good position, competitively among G5 conferences. Bring in WKU, MTSU, and Marshall.

If any of you were wondering why App was giving up some decent runs on defense, they were rotating true freshman in and out of different positions to get them some meaningful snaps during the season, given the new "4-Game Redshirt" rule.
