RE: Game 2: FIU vs ODU
The good news is that coaches always say you will see the biggest improvement between games 1 & 2. Unfortunately we need a hell of a lot of improvement.

If things really are true about DA in practice, why is he not getting a shot? I wish he would have given BL a shot on the first drive of the 2nd half as he did move the ball while he was in. Bobby may lose this team if he keeps on with the SW experiment as he really hasn't show a consistent touch. Short throws in the dirt and deep throws sail over heads.

RE: Game 2: FIU vs ODU
I asked about Arnold and I have been told by a few folks I know who are actually at the practices that Arnold was in the fight (maybe #1) after the Spring Game. Over the summer he lost it (confidence?, overthinking?, pushing to hard?) and has regressed more since Fall practice started. (Losing confidence can lead to a downward spiral that is hard to reverse.) LaRussa is competent and a good kid but still short (sorry but it is true - did you see his pass knocked down by a lineman Sat.?) and not fast enough. Believe it or not I am told the kid from Roanoke is the one looking hot in practice currently. I was also told today that SW clearly looks the best in practice. That said, I have been around football enough to know that great practice players who cannot produce in a game do exist. I would expect that very thought is being evaluated by our coaches. Hopefully, he just had a bad game and it is behind him.

I noticed Fitzgerald on the sideline Saturday. That is going to be a big boy.

Next up on the Bobby Wilder Hype train: Shuler [x], Stevie [x], Fitzgerald [?]. Maybe the third times the charm.

Just out of curiosity, when SW looks good in practice, is it against our 1st or 2nd team defense? I didn't know if we went with 1st stringers against 1st stringers or if they went against 2nd string teams acting as the scout team. Then again that might not matter as we have a hard time covering anybody playing man coverage.

What game did you watch Saturday? BL went 4/4. I didn't see no pass knocked down from BL Saturday night.

If Bobby Wilder is worth anything he will come out and beat FIU. Dont look at stats, personnel, spreads or anything. Coach vs coach he will win and save this season.

What's the rule for bringing kids to games and not requiring a ticket? I thought I read they don't need one as long as they sit in their parents lap but I looked at the ticket FAQ on ODUSports and don't see it now.

Thanks for the info! I could totally see that being the case. Ever heard of white coat syndrome? I have it and like clock work I can be as cool and calm as ever but soon as they put the thing on my arm to do blood pressure I totally spike. 5 minutes later it's back to normal. That's a lot of adrenaline running. I said SW doesn't look like our starter going forward but I'll own my emotional response at that time and I hope he comes out swinging and settled down. If he can't mentally figure out how to control that it will be his unseating.

RE: Game 2: FIU vs ODU
I am looking forward to Saturday. I have purged last Saturday from my mind as it is done and can't be undone. Any arrogance that the team had is gone .... they should be hungry to impress their home town crowd. If they blow this one, then we will know what we have - a very very very long season of embarrassment in store. I will be bringing guests to the game --- I am already getting notes about what to expect Saturday. My hope is that the team and coaches show up and deliver, and not another steaming pile of dung.

I checked the stats and you are correct. That said I thought I saw and I still think in my mind his last pass before the field goal try was batted down by a lineman. I will accept that my mind is further gone than I thought and apologize (especially to BL). 01-france

No, he was sacked. Unfortunately, he took too much time at the line then took a sack. He was able to hit the underneath crossing routes to move us down though.

Did not ask that question (wish I had thought of it) and do not know the answer. Generally when they decide to dump a little info my way I just listen and say thanks.

Indeed. I would also add 4 stars Mountaineer transfer Jovon Durante and Desean Holmes of FAU, and of course Empty Sue's Ty Lee. A sleeper could be CJ Worton at FIU.

I know the rule for basketball is no ticket required for two and under. I’m guessing football doesn’t have a similar rule (given the tight seating).
