That was a record setting crowd for us. It broke the previous Apogee record of 28k against Houston on the stadium’s opening day and the all time UNT record of 29.4k against Baylor

I was excited when I saw the number. Very impressive and most importantly, you got a big win in front of the big crowd. No doubt you won over some fans last night. Hopefully they will come back later in the season.

I wonder what real attendance was? I watched part of the FIU game and it looked like they had an above average crowd of maybe 8K, and pretty sure the true Charlotte count was closer to half or less of the 15K reported.

We didnt even scan tickets because we evacyates the stadium twice before the game. They were just waiving people in.
If i were to guess, id say 8000 max butts in seats. Maybe as low as 6000.
A lot of people left when the weather turned south before the game. It woulsnt have been full but it woild have been a lot better.
Next week we will have over 20,000.

Week 1 Attendance
I saw some photos of the FIU home side and there were actually a decent number. Doesn't hurt hosting a P5 team.

Charlotte had several thousand people in the stadium half an hour before game time and lightning caused them to clear the stadium. Half of these of these people just left due to the 70 minute delay.
I’d say we probably had 8000 in at max.
After the stadium was cleared at halftime, no more than 500 folks stayed for that 85 minute delay.
I’d guess roughly 9500 people showed. Very weird night in Charlotte

Shoulda had Monster Trucks or mud bogging and the attendance woulda been 50K!
USM's number is too legit to quit....we do not count freebies, recruits, ball boys or food vendors (hey! Do we still have folks that dispense concessions in the crowd anymore?)...in the "old days" (as in 2 years ago), crowd woulda been announced as 33,000.

I think we did too. We also had several recruits at the game, including one that is currently committed to SMU, but considering flipping.

Side Show did you stay for the rasslin' match? If you did how was it? I think that was a pretty cool idea. Did they set the ring up in the middle of the field?

I didn't get to stay. I think some footage has been posted to social media or youtube. I would have liked to stay, but we had a 2 hour drive home and church this morning. Growing up I was a big Hacksaw fan, so it would have been nice. If I find some video of the match, I'll post it.

Cool, I was also a huge Hacksaw fan when he was in Midsouth Wrestling. I remember going to the Monroe Civic Center when I was young and seeing him wrestle.
