I agree. Tate should be the backup, but I would love to redshirt him.

He is a very accurate QB. I am excited about his future. I hope we can get the run game going next week. It has to be our run blocking that is at fault.

You used to be a decent poster here.

I mean, what do you want? JSU looked terrible. They covered ten yards off our receivers. Their QB was either way off in most throws or they had massive communication issues on routes.

The win was expected. We handled business as we should have. Our talent, IMO, is at the best place it’s been since 2012. How that will translate, though, isn’t easily judged by a game against an inferior JSU. I’m happy we dominated and it wasn’t a close win. I choose this over how Rice handled their FCS opponent any day (and any night in the case of UTEP). But we won’t know much about us until App State. They seem to be the first decent team on our schedule.

Also, sue me for trying to put a little humor on how bad JSU is.

1 game doesn't make it so.......but yeah, it was impressive how he ran the offense....

his decisiveness alone was stellar....it was 1 or 2 read almost every time....that's what impressed me the most...

that's the kinda guy you go to the bank with....

I agree. That's what I'm talking about about. The way he went through his reads, the way he shifted his feet and stepped/side-stepped in the pocket...also, his red zone accuracy. He dropped the ball right on the money on some of those TDs. We now see why Keon left. I honestly think they would've started Jack even if Griggs never got suspended. Griggs definitely wouldn't have been as efficient as Jack last night. There's been so many times Griggs threw to the shins of wide open receivers.

ULM didn’t play great against an SLC team that has tons of quality P5 tranfers, but we bring most everyone back from last year and we can ring up some points in a hurry. Even in our too close for comfort win we put up over 550 yards. Looking forward to the making the trip. I see y’all are 6.5 point favorites. Should be a good one in my opinion. Hope the weather holds out.

Guess we’ll see. I think gonna be a close, high scoring game. We are picked 2nd behind Arkansas St. in the Sunbelt West Division.

Re-watched the game. Jack has excellent touch. His short passes were on target. We didn't throw any deep routes that I can remember. It will interesting to see how he handles the upgrade in competition these next 2 weeks.
