Lawyer Sues Brad Pitt Foundation
Following Hurricane Katrina, Brad Pitt built a bunch of homes that were sold for about 150k.
A lawyer has filed a suit claiming his foundation hasn't return to fix the structural failures and other claims they promised they would.

My favorite quote:
“I get this swell of pride when I see this little oasis of color and the solar panels,” Pitt told The Times-Picayune in 2015 . “I drive into the neighborhood and I see people on their porch, and I ask them how is their house treating them? And they say, ‘Good.’ And I say ‘What’s your utility bill?’ And they’ll throw something out like, ‘24 bucks’ or something, and I feel fantastic.”
Full disclosure, the AP report doesn't say how many residents will join the suit, and quotes at least one resident who has been pleased with the response from Pitt's Foundation and the home.
Due to gov't loans, etc... it makes one wonder how many of those homes the U.S. gov't bought. Just another lib capitalizing on a disaster to jump on that free gov't money.

I'm really interested in how these houses sold for $150K. A "solar/battery" system capable of getting your utility bills down to $24 per month in the deep south would likely push $100K itself, and would require a lot more room than the rooftop to install.
Now, maybe he went down there in January and they had a $24 bill. Hell, you dont need solar for that.
