So a top women’s player and McDonald’s All-American from Riverdale in Murphreesboro by the name of Aislynn Hayes visited Memphis last week from what I saw on Twitter. Decommitted from Tennessee after her older sister was dismissed from team. She was SEC women’s freshman player of the year last season. I hate to put the cart before the horse, but let’s grab these sisters to go with these other sisters and start up the women’s basketball train.

After more research I’ve learned it’s actually 4 sisters who had all committed to Tennessee, the oldest already attending, who all decommitted from Tennessee yesterday after the oldest sisters dismissal. Let their trash be our treasure.

Don't think I'd use the word trash to reference kids lol but it would be a nice get for our women's program given the commitments from the sisters from Arlington for 2019 recently. That said from the bits and pieces i've been reading I wouldn't be surprise if Hayes chooses KY. They were in her final 6 and along with Texas A&M were the only schools on her final list to offer all sisters. I think the offering of schollys to all the sisters along with being close enough for family to attend home games is key.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hayes picks MEMPHIS. 04-cheers

The mom retweets a lot of Memphis and Kentucky basketball stuff. I’d say we are definitely in the mix. Would love to see the women compete, especially if football and basketball are also rolling.

It’s been a while since our women’s team has been good - since joe Lee Mcnelis. It would be nice to start making the NCAA tourney regularly like we did during that time.
