Uber driver kills man who forces him off road
Good guy lives and it sounds like a psychopath who was well on the road of doing serious harm to his ex girlfriend is no longer a threat. Sadly he will probably lose his job since Uber forbids drivers from carrying while giving rides.

Its doubtful UBER can even have a rule that says drivers cant carry, as the drivers arent employees. If they are employees, and are driving an UBER company car, well then they can. But UBER drivers are individual contractors, and there are limits to what the company can mandate.
In fact, if the company decides to terminate their relationship with the driver over this, a class action lawsuit will likely be filed by this afternoon by half of the lawyers in the country. Contractors are not employees. The moment you start dictating to them as if they are an employee is the moment you are on the hook for overtime, benefits, and the employers share of SS and medicaid taxes.

Must be in the agreement you sign to use their service. More info from concealedcarry.com Reading their policy a little deeper, it doesn't say anything about terminating the relationship just you will lose access to their system. Which would mean no ability to get riders. I'm sure they had a brain trust of lawyers right that policy to put it in place.

Yep. Uber has a "no weapons" policy -- unfortunately.

On the other hand, who will report the policy-violation to Uber?

This is an example of why i am a fan of stand your ground. Should this man be prosecuted for murder or manslaughter because he didnt try to flee before he killed the aggressor? I say no, and therefore support stand your ground.
