They are projecting us with only 3 bowl eligible teams.....that would be a terrible year for the conference.

And realistically it’s 3 out of 11, because NMSU has a back up contract with the Arizona Bowl and they aren’t listed in it.

I don’t buy in to this preseason crap, to many unknowns coming into the season to even make a guess for some of these teams.

I can see a path for only 4 Sun Belt teams but I just can't see how we only have 3 bowling. The entire conference would have to fall apart for that to happen. ESPN FPI which has proven to be somewhat accurate over the years projects 5 teams bowl eligible so I'll stick with that.

We did terrible in non-conference in 2014 and we still had six teams with 6 or more wins, and that was with GS running the table. Dumb prediction that doesn't take into account the arithmetic of conference games.

that would mean that pretty much Troy, Ark St and App St run the table, outside of them playing head to head. It would also mean that pretty much everyone else goes 1-3 OOC. Not seeing it.

i originally thought Georgia State would be a bowl team this year, but when i looked at their schedule, i felt uncomfortable picking them for a bowl. they have no room for error, and its feels like a toss up every week for them. they can very well be a better team this year, but not make a bowl due to the schedule.

If we play Ohio for the 3rd time out of the last 4. That would be ridiculous.

If WE play Toledo for the 3rd time out of the last 4, THAT would also be worthy of ridicule. I think Ark St has the record for Toledo games, though. I'm not talking about the losing record, merely the frequency they were dominated over a short period of time.
