Why is Vegas Worried?
Iowa vs NIU opened at -13.5
Now it is down to -9
Is it NIU being better than they thought , Iowa being worse or a lot of betting action coming in for NIU ?
Either way....I like the direction it is trending!

RE: Why is Vegas Worried?
NIU's history of keeping it close vs the Big 10 and the suspensions are probably fueling it. It would pain me to bet against NIU, but man if this line keeps dipping...

I don't bet on sports and save my gambling for my retirement portfolio. That said I think that Iowa's suspensions are responsible for the narrowing of the spread.

You guys do realize that in the last 10 years we have played 11 games against Big 10 competition, and in those games we are 10-1 against the spread. The only game we didn't cover was the 2011 loss to Wisconsin at Soldier Field. That is a trend that the professional gamblers should notice.

That's why I think this is a unique situation to go against those trends. It's rare NIU is this limited offensively

You guys realize how Vegas works right? They are always trying to balance their bets both ways. They must have gotten a lot of bets with the original point spread, so now it has been lower to get action on the other side. It's all about balancing so they don't pay a large amount.

Well yeah of course, I think everyone knows that. I think what he was asking is why is so much money coming in for the Huskies to cover this. I thought the line was already low to begin with so its shocks me to see the line move that direction.

Apologies if this is already known. Iowa's starting tackles on the o-line are both suspended for 1 game. That is the likely driver for the line moving that much.
