ESPN moving games from ESPN3 to ESPN+
https://www.cordcuttersnews.com/espn-is-...3-to-espn/
"Not all ESPN3 games are moving over to ESPN+. It looks like it’s based on whether the conference signs up for ESPN+. For now we can confirm the following college conferences have agreed to move to ESPN+: America East, ASun, Big South, Big West, Horizon, Ivy League, MAAC, MAC, MEAC, Missouri Valley, NEC, Southern Conference, Southland, Summit League, Sun Belt, and the WAC."
Hope Aresco doesn't sign up for this.

ESPN+ is short on subscribers and is going to need some material that will get the masses to sign up.

So the AAC fans will have to pay for our next tv contract. What a scam.

The AAC will be part of ESPN+ with the next TV deal. The question becomes how much content is on there. I could easily see ESPN offer the American 8 million per school with a nice sized chunk of the content located on ESPN+.

You do realize we already do that...
I've been hoping I'm not right about dollar amount and exposure for about 3 years now...but I'm really thinking we'll be getting a marginal increase with a lot more streaming at best.

That's fine so long as we're paid handsomely. I'd also like to see more baseball/soccer content out of it.

I don't see any football games going to ESPN+ but baseball, some lower level basketball, womens basketball (not uconn), and other olympic sports will be on it. And considering most baseball or olympic sports are impossible to watch now espn+ would be a big time upgrade.

If thats the ESPN offer—-we won’t be signing with ESPN. The AAC ratings were much higher than expected. There will be plenty of competition for the AAC rights—-especially if ESPN tosses out a low ball offer. Easy to steal away AAC content if the ESPN offer is a huge cut in exposure for a tiny raise.

The whole thing is so clumsy.
I have an insider account and they said they will switch all insider accounts to ESP+ but never said how to sign into your roku/apple TV etc.? Do we use our insider info (which is just a username and pass no email), do we need to setup an email, wtf. ESPN is like the NFL, have gotten fat and lazy.

RE: ESPN moving games from ESPN3 to ESPN+
Amazon.com has hired Marie Donoghue, a former ESPN executive, to oversee sports for Prime Video, according to people familiar with the situation. The hire of Ms. Donoghue, a 19-year veteran of ESPN who left the network in June 2017, shows how the Seattle-based e-commerce giant is continuing to focus on sports to win viewers of its Prime video service.
Amazon has been aggressively going after sports rights to stream to its Prime Video customers. It recently renewed its deal with the National Football League to live-stream Thursday night football games for the next two years. It has also won the rights to show the U.S. Open tennis tournament in Britain as well as men’s ATP World Tour and a number of Premier League soccer matches.

To be honest nothing anyone has heard suggests that he is wrong. I can't understand why some people here keep acting as though they don't know that. Kinda weird actually.
