Some key points, here:

1. Europe's emissions went up 2.5% as a continent. 15 of the 20 countries listed had emissions increase in 2017.

2. US emissions declined 0.5%.

3. That exemplar of renewable energy, Germany, increased their emissions yet again (that makes three straight years IIRC).

Most of Europe isn't even close to on track to meet their Paris Climate Accord goals. Tell me again how Trump is ruining the chance to reduce emissions by not signing on?

I still think it would be appropriate for us to say, "We're not signing your agreement because we think it's stupid, but we're going to reduce emissions more than those of you who did sign it."
