The stupidity of some people in the US
There was a poll taken and this was the question:

Should people who are in the US illegally be deported if they commit additional crimes?

89% said yes, and 11% still said no.

Can you believe it? This is the condition of our country with some of it's citizens who have the brains of a mouse.

Unbelievable!

You’ll find about 10% of people will agree with virtually anything.

I don’t understand what you’re asking stick? I’m saying that when it comes to surveys, I remember that there is an understood rule that there are always a surprising percentage of people who will answer the most ridiculous way possible.

what is the point of stating the obvious in the 'no shite sherlock' category.....

the point of the op was "additional" being a serious problem.....

but you dodged that bullet too....

you're going to want to put me on ignore.....I'll wear that bs rhetoric out like a hooker on the Revolución....

I guess we shouldn't be surprised that some people admit they are prey.

I’m sorry, are you implying that the GOP doesn’t have members who believe egregiously ignorant things?

Nah, stupidity knows no political affiliation. It's an equal opportunity nuisance.

When I was in high school, my friends used to think it was funny to screw up surveys with ridiculous answers.

Their favorite was when the question asked what drugs we had done. Oh boy, they "admitted" to doing drugs they had never even heard of. These were private school kids in honors classes, most of whom had never even seen marijuana.

Unbelievable!

25 years after his death, some 6% of Americans still believed he was alive. We have some nutty folks out there. Thats just the world we live in. Its why you will rarely see more 60% of the people agree on anything. About 10% are just nutty fringe loons. Thirty percent are hard core conservative. Thirty percent are hard core liberal. That leaves about 30% of the people who are not crazy and are not hyper-partisan who will essentially decide every issue. What a system! lol---the people who actually least care about this stuff---and tend to be minimally informed---actually are making all the decisions. 04-cheers

me and your pals would've gotten along just fine....

I never smoked weed until college....

it's unfortunate I was at the age before they began doing stupid shite like that....

e.g. Q: how many times have you had sex in the last year?
A: including teachers, cousins, nuns, and hookers.....is 'a bunch' acceptable?

I just want our country to protect Americans. That includes the stupid and naive Americans, like democrats. They may be wrong but they are still us. They can be redeemed.

This my friend is why competency tests were once required (literacy) before one could vote. While the principle was abused by those with an agenda, the concept employed correctly would solve many social and political ills.

It is why we are a Republic and not a pure democracy. In a pure democracy when the stupid are in the majority the welfare of all fails. It is also why once we only gave the vote to those who were gainfully employed or owned land for enterprise purposes. Since those are the ones who actually pay property and income taxes those are the ones least likely to approve a system where the corrupt buy votes from those on the dole who add little to the public treasury, but are easily manipulated by the public largess that the elected offer them.

The fact that we are headed headlong into socialism is because the productive are being outvoted by the nonproductive. It is by its nature antithetical to our constitution, our intended form of government, and logic.
