He's really one of the better color commentators out there. Most that ESPN use (especially on the non-major games) are pretty awful and I honestly don't think they have a better understanding of football than I do.

I'm a fan of Herbstreet, he's the best they have on Gameday.

And lets be honest, the majority of CFB fans root for the P5, so the smart business move for ESPN is to focus on the PF. It sucks for us but it's the sports world we live in. Can't knock Herbstreet or any of the other analist for spending more time on P5 then the G5.

I imagine people in the south hate him because he rightly points out the SEC is vastly overrated. Alabama and a bunch of substitute teachers.

Nothing he said in the YouTube video is untrue, even if it stings. The flip side is that he singlehandedly made our Inaugural season Thursday Night game with Alabama a 3 hour GSU commercial.
