UT Bookstore talk
This weekend I went into Rocky's Locker (Savage Arena) with a 20$ voucher in hand searching for something that soothed my Rocket fandom pallet. I found Nothing!!! A shelf of the same hat in 25 different cubicles. Lots of 50% off makeup caked on hoodies and other bland Nike Toledo gear, each with a different script and shade of midnight blue and gold on it.

The bookstore on Bankroft... IS FRICKIG SWEET! 100$ 2018 BLUE Toledo jerseys, along with any hat style or clothing or flag style you could think of. Even though the fan plan voucher doesn't work there, the store on Bankroft should be your go to for all Toledo gear.

Sidenote: parking pavement behind the new Mancy's looks terrific. I hope that it opens before the football season ends.

I haven’t been there in over 15 years. Kind of forgot it still exists. Have to stop there this season. Thanks for the tip

a $100 jersey is not sweet. It's expensive. For $100 I could buy 110 Kingsize Paydays on 10 for 10 week at Meijer's, which is really 11 for 10 so why do they still call it 10 for 10? They stupid?

Well your options are Rockey's Locker who hasn't sold a jersey since 2011. The UT Barnes and Noble Book Store who has never sold a jersey. Walmart who has a generic 20 dollar Starter brand jersey. Or The Bankroft bookstore who sells an officially licensed Nike replica for $100.

My option is a white t-shirt, a bunch of markers and still have enough for 99 Kingsized Paydays. I'm trying to think the last time I paid a $100 bill that wasn't utility, car or house related.... Ah! ....no.................. anybody know last time I.... SQUIRREL!

Why did they stop selling the game jerseys at the Glassbowl? I bought a couple sometime around the turn of the century. Seems like I paid around $40. Had number 19 on it. I took them to a place that does silkscreen and had them put Taylor on the backs of them. I’ve had a lot of compliments/ comments about them. I will have mine on at the game.

Meatchicken. Now it makes sense. Still like the bargain, regardless.

Speaking of money, on a different thread I mentioned UT grad Bob Frick gave 18 Million to Columbus St. and wondered if anyone knew, he spread a little UT's way? Ray Frick who just passed, went to Miami. Both were teachers in Toledo and from the East Side.

RE: UT Bookstore talk
Usual topic every year. UT does a crappy job marketing. I had to go bootleg to get a front license plate. Half of our alumni live out of state and 38 states do not require front plates.

My son made it to Purdue Marching band. That school has some nice swag.

Its all about effort. UT Alumni association dues reminder comes with a phone charger as a renewal perk. Who will see that? How about a front plate for out of state alumni? I bring it up to Dan and his staff every time I see him and they just roll their eyes like I am crazy.

Oh wait. I am a bit crazy.

Another question. Why cant we buy the helmet stickers? Sell what you already need anyway and you can cover the cost of the things you need.

That bookstore on Bancroft is awesome. Relatively inexpensive. They usually give you a coupon for 25% off any item in the store if you ask them. They seem to have more UT apparel, merchandise, etc. than Barnes and Noble. If you get the coupon, they let you take it home to use another day.

GO ROCKETS !!!!!!

World's largest band. World's largest drum. World's largest girl in black.

not politically correct anymore I suppose.

I like my alma mater, particularly their educational stances. I have one t-shirt. Their swag is a P. On grey, on black, on white, or gold, or the P is one of those colors and the shirt another. In what way is their swag remotely as nice as UT's?

They've also got a pretty stellar sale every year in April/May, Buy One-Get One Half Off on all outerwear.
