Count me among the naysayers and doubters eating some crow sandwich. I really thought given his Oakland, UT, and USC shenanagins; he'd be a disaster for FAU. Guess he really did learn a thing or two from Saban while at Bama.

He has definitely matured as a head coach and it is paying dividends for FAU. Good for them.

Easier to coach a G5 team that doesn’t have the baggage with a lot of P5
schools.
