Dedmon might be playing his way into the NFL draft if he stays healthy and keeps this up

VA Tech is a top ten team for sure. They had 3 shutouts last year so our putting up 17 pts was impressive.

Nah, it was just a steady sprinkle. That’s just VT fans saying that to make the loss easier to swallow!

Virginia Tech Game
Marcus Crowell's redshirt was set ablaze yesterday. A bunch of young OL with school and football in their faces just a couple of weeks into it. The windburn must be terrible.

Crowell played at Bucknell, as well. DT Zyquan Bessant has also appeared in both games, along with Colby Sorsdal.

Have no idea how we will do hoing forward, but Shon was good today and so was Will punting the ball. We did not get one blocked. Saw a lot of Tribe fans. Will be interesting to see how we do. Next week is really big for the season.

This was my biggest takeaway from yesterday. Michael looked great against a school that prides itself on special teams play. He also saved us around 30 yards on that bad snap.

Honestly, yesterday didn't go as I expected at all. I thought the defense would look better and I never imagined we'd hang 17 on Tech. I actually thought the o-line looked ok. Obviously we struggled with run blocking but they were at least giving Shon time to make some plays. In a weird way, I feel more confident today than after we beat Bucknell.

RE: Virginia Tech Game
That makes sense to me. Shon was very composed, even after getting destroyed on his first pass attempt. He missed on a few throws, but even on those was making the right reads. He made several really good plays even under pressure. As for Will, he punted very well. On the play where the snap went over his head, he made the only play he could and nearly got a desperation completion. The attempt saved the Tribe 25 yards which is certainly further than he could have punted it at the time. He showed some poise. On to Elon.
