I've said all along that Troy has fewer questions to answer than App. That said, which team is better depends on what the answer is to those questions. This should be a very interesting season.

If Ark St. doesn't win the SBC with all the question marks App and Troy have, either Ark St. suffered some major injuries or App and Troy have recruited even better than I thought and are about to be legitimate threats to finish in the top 25.

I think we're both wildcards right now. Troy has to deal with expectations after winning a conference title. That's what "rebuild the wall" has been about, mostly. Troy also has to replace a lot of leadership. If Troy doesn't handle those things well, it could be a really long season.

This year's schedule is significantly tougher, in my opinion. Less cupcakes in conference, lots of new coaches to game-plan for each week, and lots of mobile QBs that we aren't great at defending. I don't really know what to expect, we'll just have to wait and see.

Or respect for the Benjamin Buttons of football coaching, Lane Kiffin.

Troy has an opportunity to enhance the perception of not only its team, but also that of the entire SBC when Boise visits the Trojans. Of course, they also have the opportunity to lay an egg and set the perception of both back a decade or so too. You know what they say, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Boise will be a tough test though, and the Broncos won't come into Troy expecting a cakewalk. They'll be loaded for bear and the Trojans will have to play extremely well if they're to get a win in this one.
