Only one home game vs teams that even sniff the top 25. That will not help come selection sunday cause winning on the road early may be tough. I hope Penny is able to improve this schedule and Bowen/admin get off the 7 buys games a year now that FB is pulling it's own weight and sounds like BB season tickets are selling well.

somewhere between 8-5 and 10-3, we'll have to kick butt in conference play. Or just win the tournament.

I can see 8-5 as the floor with this schedule. Better, and things are good, worse, well, not so much.

I would imagine we would be favored in these 7 games:
Tennessee Tech (19-14)
Yale (16-15)
South Dakota State (28-7)
UAB (20-13)
Little Rock (7-25)
Tennessee State (15-15)
Florida A&M (9-25)

Still a couple of tough home game against UAB and SDS.

And underdogs in the following 5 or 6 games (depending on the match up):
LSU (18-15)
Oklahoma State (21-15)
Villanova (36-4)
Florida State/LSU/Charleston/UAB (23-12)/(18/15)(26-8)/(20-13)
Texas Tech (27-10)
Tennessee (26-9)

If we finish this stretch 10-3 I think most people would be ecstatic.

We could end up playing LSU or UAB twice. Interesting.

Looks like a solid schedule. Once we regain prominence, I think the schedule will upgrade.

We have the horses to win the tournament, I think...other factors are to be determined, but we have talent.

I plan on being at that tourney in Orlando. Can't wait.

Me too! A win against OSU and a game against Nova (win or lose) would be big for our overall strength of schedule. A marquee home game, a couple of big neutral site games, and a good road game is a really good OOC schedule. Add Cincy twice and Wichita St twice and a solid overall conference and its a nice overall schedule.

I feel Lomax will compete on defense and likely will not make a ton of mistakes with the ball early in the season (probably will not score much) but I don't have any feeling about any of the other newcomers
