Black business ownership up 400% in one year
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/08...-one-year/

The number may be off slightly, but there is no denying this is a big trend. The increase black Trump support may be other for factors than employment. Businesses could use less regulation than in the Obama years.

RE: Black business ownership up 400% in one year
Just looking at the raw #s this gives (and someone can correct my quick perusing)... 2600 respondents of either current OR ASPIRING business owners were surveyed. 19% were black.

So 2600---> 494. I would be careful drawing major conclusions off of a survey of less than 500 either new or aspiring business owners as representative of 37 million people.

And going off their infographics half of these businesses are just 1 person, 70% used cash as their start up fuel and not outside entities or loans and 1/3rd only have a high school diploma. So we are probably not discussing major business ventures.

I'm not arguing against the overall statement that black owned businesses are on the rise. I imagine they are. But I dont really trust this survey/site conclusion on the matter. JMHO

RE: Black business ownership up 400% in one year
I was curious so I did some quick pre bed googling and found this graphic from the US Business Census.

Shows a black business ownership increase of 34% starting in 2012. I think this number seems more reasonable than a 400% in a year claim (which is frankly hyperbolic and ridiculous). To attribute the increase to Trump policies also has my head scratching since I have yet to see any minority focused small business legislation from DJT. But someone can correct me as to anything he has done outside of deregulatory practices and tax cuts.

Neither of those, by the way, would probably help the people cited in your survey. Since half dont even have employees and 3/4 dont have any kind of financing.

Final interesting stat: 99.7% of businesses have <500 employees in the USA, classifying them as small business. Thought that was a cool stat.

Those two might be all you need.

Why do people need special treatment because of the color of their skin?

I dont think either apply to the types of businesses being cited by this survey.

I think solely attributing any kind of reparation as being based on skin color alone is a bit of a... surface argument. Badumchhhh 07-coffee3
