RE: NIU vs Iowa Line comparisons
After the initial line is set, the spread variance is simply a matter of where the money is. It went down because the early money was on NIU.
It’s still is amazing to me to that when we beat Iowa in 2012, Lynch was 6-16 for 54 Yards passing. He did have 116 net rushing yards. I think the Huskies will need an incredible game from the D and special teams to win. Our D is more than capable, but they need to be extraordinary.

NIU lost the game in 2012 at Soldier Field when Lynch threw for 54 yards. NIU won the following year at Iowa.

Lynch is easily one of my favorite players of any opponent I've seen play.

How good will Corcoran's replacement be in Week 1?

Not necessarily true, factors like suspensions/injuries can change the line.

Plenty of potential. The issue is losing the depth. We rotate the DL as much as anyone in the country and being thinner on the edge is a concern. At least it won't be 115 degrees on the field like last time. Next man up!

The guys behind Corcoran might be slightly better athletes, but Josh is extremely disciplined and plays the run and pass very well. His absence will be felt in the run game more than the pass.
