RE: Sun Belt Coaches Talk Anonymously About Conference Foes for 2018.
App led the Sun Belt in offensive yards per play and led in a lot of the explosive play stats. I just don't think they're as flashy because their offense moves at a slower pace than most of the teams in the league. Troy is similar.

Exactly what I said. They make you play bad football while they execute to near perfection. They just grind you down and before you know it the game is out of reach.
Sorry for you sensitive fans who can’t accept the truth. App doesn’t wow anyone. They just beat you.

Yep, looks underwhelming to my uneducated eye.
That's basically what he is saying, consistent mistake free football then the other team looks at the scoreboard and they are getting blown out. Anytime you beat someone 24-0 or 28-7 that meets this criteria of grinding people down with sound fundamentals.

Yes even in the first game that was 35-16, Satterfield les teams just wear you down. Nothing real flashy, y’all just out execute and make good in game adjustments. I don’t know why that is so insulting to some of your fans.
I never sat there and watched a game between us and said “wow! These guys have so much more talent than we do, how are we suppose to compete with that”. But your staff gets the most out of the talent you do have and the execution is flawless.
We have a ton of talent and Hudspeth ran a schoolyard offense with no discipline. Our guys were fat, slow, lazy athletes and it showed on the field.

This description of App football should be taken as a huge compliment by App fans. It’s the same way I’d describe Saban’s Alabama football program. Not really flashy in any way, but tremendously effective.

I get it, sorry for the unnecessary jab . I actually agree and appreciate the efficiency we’ve operated at since joining the league. But let me say this, there will be “WOW”!

Jalin Moore trucking your LB 5 yards as he runs into the endzone happens everyday.
Your players in the ice baths the day after would disagree.

I totally agree with most that the offense App puts on the field isn't as "Flashy" as most other teams, especially in this day of the Spread. But I would also argue that it produces an even more wow factor given the results on the field.

Our offense reminds me of the days when Furman beat people with smarts and execution rather than sheer talent. I sat through a lot of butt kickings from those guys in total amazement. You see the difference in the athletes and wonder how is this happening.

I don’t think there is many games that you guys are so far behind talent wise that you just can’t compete. Especially in the Sun Belt.
Id agree with everything else.
