Navy PT Shirt
Wore it three times, while on orders and on an joint base. Was asked a half dozen times, when I played for Navy?

Compliment, I guess?

fanhood won that shirt fair and square - predicted Navy regular season wins 6 or fewer. So he can wear it as a trophy of a vanquished foe.

So, were the questions a compliment to fanhood?
I'm going to say they absolutely were.
I know roughly how old fanhood is, and when he was of college age, Navy was NOT the dominant service academy team. So if you look your age, or older, then the question says you could have been a low D-I athlete way back when - Congrats!
Navy players 5. 10, 15 years younger than him WERE dominant....so if you think you look younger than you actually are it's a HUGE compliment

Oh, they were compliments! Hell, people were commenting on my middle aged, almost Dad bod, after I told them I was just wearing the T-Shirt!

The best part was, I wore the shirt around three times, so when it kept happening, I just responded with "No, I am just a poser."

Need to wear a PT belt with the PT Shirt, otherwise doom will befall you.

SLH, are you at all concerned, after watching Hawaii's performance last night?

I was already worried. While you can make a case for Navy to win each and every game, you could also make a case for why Navy loses twelve of them.
In the Hawaii example, it was always going to be hard to travel that far, kick off when your body feels like it is 2300. Navy fans were already hoping that the new RnS would not be fully clicking in the first game - what they will already have a week zero game under their belt? Dang it. Navy -17 was a bad bet before anything was shown last night.
Now? Yeah, they looked good on the road, offense at least. Is there a chance CSU is bad? Of course, but RnS executed well was always a bad matchup for Navy's D. As are big big O-linemen.

Not panicked, but more worried than I was before the game.

Yea, I was shocked at how good Hawaii looked. If you look at their OOC schedule, it is manageable. They will have better players than Navy and Army. That does not mean they will win, but they should have the superior talent. It will be interesting to see the contrast of styles in those games.

Furthermore, CSU's offense looked spectacular. I think the game against Colorado will be a good barometer, as to how good or bad CSU actually is.

Regarding the bolded...maybe not.
From SBNation advanced stats guy Bill Connelly
Navy 2 year recruiting average ranked 92 and five year average ranked 86
Hawaii 105 and 119
Army 110 and 116
Air Force 129 and 125 (for comparison purposes with a service academy you see more of)
Immediately after 24 January 2012, Navy started recruiting as a member of the BCS AutoQual Big East. That may have been shortlived, but the idea that Navy (and the other two) has a bunch of guys without any other FBS offers between them is overplayed.

On the other hand...Hawaii will definitely have a size advantage on the lines, and probably their receivers. In some way, Navy will absolutely be "out-athleted" Navy is out-athleted in 9 or 10 games a year, or more...and yet somehow we don't lose all 9 or 10 of those games.

Fair enough. Frankly, I have bought into what you have been selling that Navy has a ton of talent this year. Which is why I had chalked the Hawaii Navy game as an easy win for Navy. However, after watching Navy play Offense, they look like an entirely different team from last year. I'll stay up to 3am watching it. Grandpa Fanhood will be in town. I hope he can stay awake as well.
