Memphis was rated a top 15 program in ESPNs 50 for 50 (last 50 years) in 2011. We have been to tourney 4 times since. So we haven’t hurt our rating. I stated Minnesota was his home and that’s the only reason he is considering them. You can be elite without being a blue blood.
Elite and blue blood are both very subjective terms. I've always thought Memphis was a top 15-25 basketball program, even though we haven't really looked like one the past few years.
P.S.
We were ranked 19th when it came out in August 2012...
http://www.espn.com/blog/collegebasketba.../undefined
15th if NCAA sanctions not deducted (some dubious)-on the court and program, we were 15th. See footnotes
we also lost 8 points for sucking during 1962-1969.
small things, facts even, are sometimes lost on certain people.
If you can't distinguish between play on the court and getting hit with NCAA sanctions, you are a bit dense.

just to recap, you made a post, presented it as a fact (because you are the smartest guy in the room).
you were made aware of the error by not 1, but 2 different posters.
instead of admitting your error, you double down by moving the goalposts, make a snide remark, and you wonder why folks neg rep and call you names.
i won't even mention you borrowing my chainsaw and never returning it.

I have no idea what you are trying to say about errors, double downs and chainsaws. You are not making your points very well. There were no errors in my post. But yours doesn’t make sense. Not going to waste my day arguing with you. BTW, BJump is now tied for the lead in my neg rep point at -12. 3-4 guys doing 90% of neg points. Not that I care. Just facts

We are in the conversation and we are off to a fantastic start...but we still haven't actually signed a top 100 guy....yet.
