Why would anyone choose to live in Lubbock , TX ? Not being a wiseguy , but Lubbock is not exactly a garden spot. Ramsey is being recruited by the likes of Memphis , Louisville and Indiana , yet Texas Tech is the leader. I would not be shocked if we sign Ramsey.

Well, he is from Texas for one. Plus, they have a young coach who did very well in the NCAA tournament last year.

The school is in West Texas . It is in the middle of nowhere. It is a dusty , hot and treeless wasteland. It is not Dallas or Austin . Their coach is fine and they have had a couple of good years , but the school is in still in Lubbock . I cannot imagine a top recruit choosing Texas Tech over the other schools on his list. However , stranger things have happen.

People have said the same thing about Baylor and they have recruited very well.

Honestly people say the same thing about Memphis as a locale (Neither a picturesque college town/campus like say Bloomington nor a real bustling city like say LA or Seattle). Be careful about the location based shade.

Well, the players see a completely different Memphis than a crotchety old small town fan does. Everyone sees the same Lubbock.

I had family that used to live a little north of there. The one thing that is pretty are the sunsets. There are no trees to block the view either. If you like beef barbeque, wind and the pleasant aroma from Hereford Texas it's the place for you.

Baylor also has Dallas and Austin within an hour and half which is not too bad for a weekend drive. Lubbock is 5 to 6 hours from the nearest major metro area.

Understand your point, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm sure there is something good about that school that they use to sell to recruits.

So far this week: crickets. Have you seen or heard anything more about Jahmius?
as of this morning I haven't seen any updates on an announcement date
Who would you rather have? Ramsey or Boogie? I like em both but I would rather have Ramsey.
Ramsey reminds me of Geron Johnson, which i like from an aggression standpoint from both ends of the floor. I like Boogie because he can shoot, has nice ball skills and for what we are trying to do with our offense I think he fits best from that aspect. sounds like an uphill battle for both but I'd definitely take either. both would be big impacts day one.
