Thanks Walt, that was totally enjoyable for those of us who live too far away to see the facility in person. Great "crib"

nice tour. Looks like the finishing touches have been added. I'd like to see some similar finish up on the second floor by the meeting rooms. The players lounge still needs something; can't think of what it is.

heck of a deal. very impressive.

I'm going to have to get another personal tour this Fall, as they've made numerous enhancements since I was last in there a couple years ago.

Have there been any branding/cosmetic changes in the weight room that we'll be able to see through the glass on game night?

heck of a deal. very impressive.

The 2nd floor now houses the more impressive bowl trophies from eons past. They are in the aisleway leading to the coachs' offices.

Can anybody go in there and see the trophy room? On game night?

I doubt that they would want folks on game day/night right now. But you raise an interesting idea. With planning perhaps they could plan to allow folks to enter Patterson via the main entry opposite the tennis center. Fans could view the displays in the entry lobby (and maybe even bring the older trophies down for game days) then exit via the door that leads to the ramp area. There is room enough for a staffed Owl Club recruitment table, small Rice football t-shirt sales table, and an info table for ticket sales to all sports.

The lobby is good because except for the main team auditorium access to the rest of the complex can easily be controlled. Even the auditorium lower doors could be locked. A ticket scanner could be set up outside the entrance allowing only ticket holders to enter plus those folks after leaving Patterson could make their way to the concourses and their seats. Some entry ways might have to be modified but otherwise this seems doable.

The lobby area could be staffed with student athletes from other sports to ensure the safety of the exhibits and would provide a few hours of pay for them.

Just had a chance to see the video. Looks like a lot of the "unfinished " details have been fixed. It looks very professional and very Rice.
I don't have any idea what the CUSA competition has in this regard, but the Patterson Center has got to be a real positive for us in recruiting.
