Rights to the first Star Wars movie which gives Disney greater latitude with regard to merchandising rights for that franchise is a big hidden gem in all of this. The selling of the RSN's were probably going to be in the cards even before the Feds required it. It gives them more tech for streaming as well.

That's a great move in a Poker game. It's not so clear cut in business. The only way we'll know whether Comcast made the wiser move is when we see what Disney does with what they acquired. Comcast could well have made them expend more assets than prudently should have been spent, or it may be that Disney grows their influence and revenue because of their acquisitions. We'll see.

The Marvel division will recoup that money off acquiring back the X-men Franchise Alone. Not to mention the Fantastic Four now too.

About time that competent people were put in charge of the FF.

I must admit that the Fantastic Four were my favorite superhero team as a boy. Unless you count Superman + Batman.

Sad thing is that the FF is the true parent of the Marvel Universe, not Iron Man. Maybe that will be fixed at the end of 4th Avengers movie?

X Men here.

But the only Marvel movies I have seen in the theater are the two Deadpool movies.

One of my backseaters was a comics nerd and turned me on to Deadpool in the late 90's. It's tradition that when you get promoted and transfer out that you give each member of your old crew a gift that signifies something in your relationship with them. He gave me a Deadpool sticker. It went on the back quadrant of my helmet opposite of my Tiger Paw. When I got promoted to Captain it took me forever to find another to replace it.

Both FF movies were trash and I have been extremely disappointed with X Men. X Men would start off with action and drag along. Only Wolverine origin movie keep the pace going. If they reboot FF, I hope they come way better than the previous 2 attempts.
