Ah, now that I see the pants... still terrible, but more NY Jankees than Darth Vader.

Aside from the universal fact that these are fugly, why on earth would a brand with the equity ND carries bend over backward to look like another team?

The helmet and jersey are passable. Those pinstriped pants are downright hideous. Damn they are ugly. I can’t imagine Irish fans are happy about these uniforms.

As one of Adidas biggest brands, Louisville gets stuck wearing some less than appealing basketball uniforms ( Ultra Red?) fortunately our football and baseball kits haven’t been as gaudy.

Sometimes the extreme the apparel companies go to push the envelope in alternate materials and design results in uniforms that are just plain ugly.

Usually even with horrible one time unis I like at least a little something about them. Some individual piece. This is truly hateful. I can't find a single thing I like about them.

This ND uniform has UA written all over it.

One has to wonder if the Irish players will underperform because they will be so embarrassed to be wearing such ridiculous uniforms.

Notre Dame wearing their traditional uniforms in the Bronx should be iconic enough!

I think it is in the Under Armour contract.

Since ND moves a home game as a Shamrock Series game each year, I believe that Under Armour gets to trot out these types of uniforms once a year per their contract.

At least, I hope so. I want to blame UA.

It is an idea that needs to die in a fire.

They do it once a year, Ken. Google "Shamrock Series uniforms".

They are all ugly.

(I believe that ND has won every Shamrock Series game since the concept/series started in 2009).
