It appears they placed the 2 lowest rated teams from last season in the early start. At least the Owls Friday game will start on time.

As a 2 million miler with Continental, I mean United, I feel the same way about American. My last attempt to fly American IAH-ORD-IAH resulted in a 5+ hour delay on the outbound flight and 2 hour departure and 4 hour late arrival on the return flight. We were told after the doors were closed we would have to make a "short" stop at DFW to drop off a part for another American plane. Not a great experience.

In my experince with United, for the first several years after the merger, whether you got a heritage Continental crew or heritage United crew made a big difference in the flight experience. Unfortunately, with time, it has become harder to see the diference.

Lol. I've been on that flight on numerous occassions, and usually take the 6:20am return flight to Chicago. HOWEVER, that flight is not offered every day...and, more importantly, with a 10:12am arrival at Bush, it would not get me to Minute Maid in time for the game-- even if I accepted the considerable burden of carrying all my luggage into Minute Maid.

Of course, if we play at Reckling the previous weekend, I'll likely simply do my usual of camping out in Houston for 2 - 3 consecutive weeks toward the start of the season. Over the past several seasons I try to catch most of team's first 4 weeks of action-- including roadtripping weekend series away from Reckling.

Love the early game. Really makes a friday feel like a vacation.

Been 1k with UA for the last 4 years post law school, but I just flew AA dfw-las on a a321. They had a big entertainment screen in first (ua is going towards nothing with BYOD), bud lights (UA only carries like 4 miller lites a flight), glenlivet 12 and 15 (UA only carries glenfarclas -at least it isnt a dewars red). On top of that, UA took the domestic cookies away. Anyway, UA will keep my business out of houston since I would hate to connect constantly in dfw or others.

Guess I'll have to fly in that Friday and camp out around campus through Homecoming Weekend, and catch several intrasquads, as well.
