Brings back bad memories here in MN of the 35W bridge collapse. Even worse memories for my wife because she didn't hear from me for 4 hours after the 35W collapse as I was out of cell phone range down while shooting in my sporting clays league.

Reports now are saying the bridge was struck by lightning right before it collapsed.

or, they failed to equip the bridge with a proper lightning rod. But, looking at how and what that bridge spans, yea, it would be an easy soft target.
